April 27, 2026<\/span><\/p>\n The Lie That Keeps Whispering<\/strong><\/span> Lee en espa\u00f1ol<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God \u2026\u201d 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)<\/em><\/p>\n There\u2019s something powerful about naming things.<\/p>\n When pain stays vague, it feels overwhelming. But when it\u2019s named, it becomes something you can face. The same is true with lies.<\/p>\n Most of us don\u2019t wake up one day and decide to believe something untrue about ourselves. It happens slowly. Quietly. Almost invisibly. A thought repeats itself long enough that it starts to feel like a fact. Like reality. Like this is just who I am<\/em>.<\/p>\n Lies don\u2019t usually shout. They whisper.<\/p>\n They show up when you\u2019re tired. Or anxious. Or afraid. And before you realize it, they begin shaping how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and even how you approach God. They influence your choices, your habits, and the things you never say out loud.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve noticed that there are three core lies we often believe:<\/p>\n 1. I am helpless.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n 2.\u00a0I am worthless.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n 3.\u00a0I am unlovable.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Different stories. Different wounds. But often the same root.<\/p>\n Helplessness says, Nothing will ever change, so why try?<\/em><\/p>\n Worthlessness says, You don\u2019t matter anyway.<\/em><\/p>\n Unlovableness says, If people really knew you, they wouldn\u2019t stay.<\/em><\/p>\n You might recognize one of these lies immediately. You might feel pieces of more than one. Or you might not be sure yet \u2014 and that\u2019s OK.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the good news: Lies lose their grip when they\u2019re pulled into the light. Not because they disappear instantly but because they no longer get to operate unseen.<\/p>\n Naming the lie doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019ll never hear it again. You may still recognize its voice. You may still feel its pull. But now you know what you\u2019re dealing with. You\u2019re no longer fighting a mystery. You\u2019re facing something real \u2014 and God’s Truth can meet you there.<\/p>\n This is where daily practice matters: how you speak to yourself, who you invite into your story, whether you isolate or connect, whether you numb or stay present.<\/p>\n Small choices, repeated over time, can form a new rhythm. A new posture. A new way of walking in the light. Truth isn\u2019t just something you believe. It\u2019s something you practice.<\/p>\n That\u2019s what today\u2019s key verse invites us to do: \u201cWe demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God \u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(2 Corinthians 10:5). We do this not by ignoring the lies but by bringing them into the presence of God and measuring them against what He says is true.<\/p>\n You\u2019re not behind. You\u2019re not failing. You\u2019re right where light begins to work.<\/p>\n So today, instead of rushing to fix yourself, pause and ask: What belief shows up when I\u2019m tired, anxious, or afraid?\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n God, show me the lie I\u2019ve been living under. Give me the courage to name it and bring it into Your light. Replace what is false with what is true, and help me walk in freedom today.
