Its captives have historically faced inhumane conditions, including torture and starvation.<\/p>\n Ayuba says the ongoing targeting of Christians in Nigeria amounts to a systematic genocide. Recent evidence includes the destruction of over 100 churches and the specific targeting of Christian men and women in an ideological war aimed at eradicating Christianity in the region.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, another group of Nigerian Christians was recently massacred with machetes and guns in Nigeria’s Middle Belt.<\/p>\n In that case, Islamic Fulani militias invaded yet another Christian district, murdering 11 peaceful civilians, including two pregnant women and a three-year-old boy, slashing some of the victims with machetes.
