<\/p>\n
Psalm 144-145; Psalm 88-89 <\/strong><\/span> Psalm 144 verses 3 & 4 are well known!\u00a0 \u201cO LORD, what are mortals that you should notice us, mere humans that you should care for us? For we are like a breath of air; our days are like a passing shadow.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 If our days are like a passing shadow, how then should we be spending our days?\u00a0 What types of things should we be investing our time & money into?\u00a0 What should we be investing our very hearts and minds into?\u00a0 Are you wisely spending your passing days in godly ways?<\/span><\/p>\n I love the imagery today in Psalm 145 verse 9! \u201cThe LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.\u201d<\/em> Do you believe that God is good to everyone?\u00a0 Do you feel God\u2019s compassion being showered upon you right this very moment?<\/span><\/p>\n Psalm 88 is quite a Psalm!\u00a0 Interestingly many churches read this Psalm during their Good Friday liturgies, interpreting this Psalm as a prayer of Jesus suffering on the road to Golgotha.\u00a0 Take a read through this Psalm again with this perspective\u2026\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Psalm 89 verse 11 is so powerful for us to remember \u2013 \u201cThe heavens are yours, and the earth is yours; everything in the world is yours\u2013you created it all.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Everything in this world is God\u2019s.\u00a0 Everything.\u00a0 This means every single person we meet is God\u2019s.\u00a0 However\u2026 they might not realize it.\u00a0 But, I think it is important for us to remember that every single person we meet \u2013 no matter how \u201cbad\u201d they may seem or whatever \u2013 is still made in the image of God.\u00a0 And there is the possibility of that person getting to know they are God\u2019s.\u00a0 There is the possibility of redemption \u2013 not by our human power, but by the power of God.\u00a0 I think sometimes we go through our day thinking the world is bad.\u00a0 People are bad.\u00a0 It all is bad.\u00a0 And certainly, it is a fallen world.\u00a0 But it is still God\u2019s world \u2013 and yes, the devil is thrashing around his temptations as rapidly as he can in the hearts of men and women.\u00a0 This is the great spiritual battle.\u00a0 But, God is so much stronger than the devil.\u00a0 The name of Jesus expels the devil quicker than anything.\u00a0 \u00a0So, know that while we are in a fallen world, it is God\u2019s world.\u00a0 Everything in this world is God\u2019s.\u00a0 What are you and I doing to let others know that they are God\u2019s \u2013 particularly if they don\u2019t know it?\u00a0 What are we doing to bless others with the knowledge that there is another Way than the devil\u2019s temptations in this world?\u00a0 What are we doing?\u00a0 Really.\u00a0 What are we doing with our lives to let others know about Jesus?\u00a0 Whew\u2026 this one gets to me for some reason.\u00a0 There are people suffering so much in our world.\u00a0 If only they knew there was another way\u2026.\u00a0 \u00a0Will you help to show them to the Way?\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Continuing on the thoughts in the paragraph above \u2013 take a moment to reflect on this image below.\u00a0 Wow\u2026 Can you make out the angel on the right coming from the prayers of the woman to defend her from the evil one?\u00a0 Who are we praying for today to defend them from the evil one?<\/span><\/p>\n Psalm 89 verse 13 today \u2013 \u201cPowerful is your arm! Strong is your hand!
