\u201cIt\u2019s extremely bittersweet,\u201d Roumie told CBN News Sunday on the red carpet at the KLOVE Fan Awards. \u201cIt\u2019s been 8 years of my life in this role and deepening my relationship with my faith in Christ, so it\u2019s going to be sad to see it go.\u201d<\/p>\n
Listen to the latest\u00a0episode\u00a0of \u201cQuick Start\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Despite these emotions, the actor expressed his gratitude for the preparedness God has placed in his mind and heart as he looks to the future.<\/p>\n \u201cBut the Lord has used it to prepare me for the next phase of my career, whatever that may look like,\u201d Roumie said.<\/p>\n He also reflected on the stunning nature of his rise to fame, expressing gratitude for his ability to star in and sustain a series like \u201cThe Chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a miracle that I\u2019m here \u2014 that I\u2019m standing here,\u201d Roumie said. \u201cWords don\u2019t describe \u2026 the odds of me making it through are astronomical. It\u2019s like making it to the Olympics.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cThere\u2019s so few people who get the opportunity to do this, and the fact that the Lord allowed me an opportunity to break through, and be seen, and provided me with the talent to sustain the series \u2014 it just blows my mind. I\u2019m grateful every day.\u201d<\/p>\n Roumie recently took to his Instagram to share personal details about the ways in which \u201cThe Chosen\u201d changed his life trajectory.<\/p>\n \u201cEight years ago today, God changed the course of my life,\u201d he wrote in a post. \u201cThe road ahead seemed impassible and impossible but He had other plans.
