A landmark lawsuit in Florida is challenging a major artificial intelligence company over safety concerns.<\/p>\n
The state is suing OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman, accusing the company of deliberately concealing severe safety risks of its chatbot ChatGPT, especially when it comes to minors.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, we announced the first-in-the-nation state-led lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman,\u201d said Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier. \u201cOpenAI and Altman ignored internal and external safety warnings, put children at great risk, and allowed a dangerous product to reach millions of Floridians.\u201d<\/p>\n
