Thousands of residents in six towns were without power after the temblor. California Seismologist Lucy Jones told\u00a0The Associated Press\u00a0<\/em>that the area is not on a major fault line.<\/p>\n \u201cThe area is not without earthquakes, but they\u2019re usually smaller than this,\u201d Jones said.
