Chapter 29 was the final chapter of the Proverbs of Solomon.\u00a0 Proverbs chapter 31 verses 1 through 9 consist of 3 sayings that King Lemuel\u2019s mother taught him. The entirety of Proverbs chapter 31 demonstrates the significance and role of wise women in the ancient Near East, where the queen mother was often an influential figure.  Who have been some wise women in your life? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Proverbs 31:8-9 today teaches us this powerful lesson: <em>\u201cSpeak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those who are perishing. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Do you believe that God calling you to speak up in some way for the poor and helpless?\u00a0 Maybe it\u2019s somewhere in your city or neighborhood or home that this call is leading you to speak up\u2026\u00a0 Will you speak up?\u00a0 Will we speak up?\u00a0  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Proverbs 31:10-24 is a great reflection upon a godly wife.\u00a0 I read a commentary that said such a wife is almost a personification of wisdom.\u00a0 I like that thought!\u00a0 And certainly it makes sense that a women \/ wife would be a personification of wisdom rather than a man \/ husband\u2026\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 \u00a0Just kidding!\u00a0 I\u2019m a guy, so I can make this kind of joke right?\u00a0 In all seriousness, how about that thought for each of our lives \u2013 male or female \u2013 would it be a godly thing to move toward being a personification of wisdom?\u00a0 Obviously I\u2019d say that Jesus was the only human this side of heaven that will walk this earth as a pure personification of wisdom.\u00a0 But let us seek wisdom in how we live our lives each and every day.\u00a0 Let us seek God\u2019s Wisdom that is worth far more than rubies\u2026<\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Here is a little Proverbs 31 humor\u2026 while searching for an image for Proverbs 31 I came across this photo below.\u00a0 The person who took this photo said \u201cwe call her the Proverbs 31 Doggie.\u201d\u00a0 Cute!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Proverbs 31:25-31 are a continued great look at what a godly woman does.\u00a0 I really like verse 30 which seems so opposite of what our culture is often selling us today: <em>\u201cCharm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 I think this holds so true for women and men \u2013 our beauty or good looks or outer appearances do not last.\u00a0 They are not eternal.\u00a0 What matters is what\u2019s inside \u2013 our relationship with and love of God and other people.\u00a0 So, I think this is a great reminder for us to focus on what\u2019s inside \u2013 which is what\u2019s eternal.\u00a0 And yes, our culture will continue to try to sell us on the latest fads to look better on the outside.\u00a0 Will you refuse to buy into that which will not last?\u00a0 Do you realize that holiness is beautiful?\u00a0 This picture below comes from Memphis, Tennessee:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Worship Video:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings reminded me of Forrest Frank\u2019s song \u201cYour Way\u2019s Better:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Is God\u2019s way better than your way?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Click here for His way in your life!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><strong>Comments from You:<\/strong>\u00a0 What verses or insights stand out to you in today\u2019s readings?\u00a0 Please post up by clicking on the \u201cComments\u201d link below!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">God bless,<br \/>Mike<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">p.s.
