Psalm 98; Psalm 99; Psalm 100; Psalm 102; Psalm 104<\/strong><\/span> Psalm 99 is a great psalm of praise! This Psalm mentions the word Lord 7 times. I like verse 6 \u2013 \u201cMoses and Aaron were among his priests; Samuel also called on his name. They cried to the LORD for help, and he answered them.\u201d<\/em> These were obviously some major characters in the Bible.<\/span><\/p>\n I love Psalm 99 verse 3 \u2013 \u201cLet them praise your great and awesome name. Your name is holy!\u201d <\/em>I think sometimes in our modern world we can forget that God\u2019s name is holy.\u00a0 Jesus\u2019 name is holy.\u00a0 These holy names change things.\u00a0 They change everything.\u00a0 If ever you are ever feeling like you are being confronted by evil \u2013 maybe even in your sleep in a dream \u2013 call upon Jesus\u2019 name and watch the evil flee from you immediately.\u00a0 It is true\u2026 Jesus\u2019 name is holy!\u00a0 God\u2019s name is holy!\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if anyone has a CD by Vineyard Worship with Kathryn Scott singing on it?\u00a0 It\u2019s called \u201cHungry, Live in London\u201d.\u00a0 This is a great CD and they have a wonderful song that includes lyrics saying, \u201cYou are the sovereign I AM, your name is holy!\u201d\u00a0 Beautiful tune\u2026\u00a0 And so true. <\/span><\/p>\n Today we read Psalm 100!\u00a0 I will copy this short Psalm below. Does this Psalm speak to you? Do you feel joy while reading this song? I have read much of <\/span>\u201cThe Life You\u2019ve Always Wanted\u201d by John Ortberg<\/span> (a great book!) and he has a great chapter on JOY being a spiritual discipline. It is amazing to realize that Joy is a gift from God we should be experiencing every day. I pray you are experiencing joy as a spiritual discipline! Think this Psalmist in Psalm 100 was?<\/span><\/p>\n Psalm 100 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Enter his gates with thanksgiving When is the last time you shouted for joy to God?\u00a0 Do you regularly worship God with gladness?\u00a0 Do you come before our Heavenly Father with joyful songs?\u00a0 Do you know that you are God\u2019s?\u00a0 Is this fact alone worth being joyful about each and every day?<\/span><\/p>\n Psalm 102 is a great reminder to us on the importance to pray. To bring our troubles to the Lord. Psalm 102 can also definitely be a comfort for us during a time of sorrow.\u00a0 I love the reminder about God in verse 27 (which Hebrews also reminded us of today in the verses above\u2026) \u2013 \u201cBut you are always the same; your years never end.\u201d <\/em>God does not change.\u00a0 He is perfectly consistent.\u00a0 We are oftentimes inconsistent.\u00a0 But, our inconsistencies do not change God\u2019s consistency.\u00a0 He is always the same \u2013 yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever.\u00a0 God is the one sure thing in life that you can count on \u2013 forever.<\/span><\/p>\n Psalm 104 is a beautiful hymn to the Creator!\u00a0 I like all of the verses \u2013 verse 19 stands out to me because I can find some cool images related to this verse on the web!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 \u201cYou made the moon to mark the seasons and the sun that knows when to set.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Worship Video:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings remind me of Tenth Avenue North\u2019s song \u201cLove is Here:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \n

A psalm. For giving thanks. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
