Alex Reads Tarot \u2014 a now-former occult content creator \u2014\u00a0shocked fans late last month, when she announced she was deleting all her previous TikTok content and would no longer perform Tarot card readings because she had become a Christian.<\/p>\n
Ex-psychic Jenn Nizza, now a born-again believer, walked down a similar path to Alex. Nizza told CBN News Tarot cards were her \u201cgateway into the demonic\u201d when she was just 13 years old. In fact, there are many parts of Alex\u2019s story with which Nizza resonates.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can relate so much, because, when Jesus first called me, first started to draw me, I was a psychic medium,\u201d said Nizza, referring to Alex\u2019s year-long conversion to Christianity. \u201cSo, when Jesus first started drawing me out of that darkness, it was not an instant deliverance; it was a process.\u201d<\/p>\n
All in, Nizza said her decision to abandon divination and the occult lifestyle came after nearly a year of seeking.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of that 10-month journey was when Jesus fully set me free and I became born again,\u201d she explained. \u201c[I] accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and believed into the Gospel.\u201d<\/p>\n
After her own year-long process, Alex, who has not publicly disclosed her surname, said she began \u201cwrestling with questions\u201d she \u201ccouldn\u2019t quite ignore,\u201d noting her shift in beliefs was \u201cgradual\u201d rather than an overnight awakening.<\/p>\n
In her 10-minute video announcing her newfound faith, Alex said, in part, \u201cI don\u2019t know exactly what comes next for me, but what I do know is that Jesus Christ has saved my life, and I can no longer ignore that reality.\u201d<\/p>\n
She has since changed her social media handle from \u201cAlex Reads Tarot\u201d to \u201cAlex Belongs to Christ\u201d and has made clear she will not be returning to her old routine of performing Tarot card readings for fans \u2014 a practice that garnered the TikTok creator nearly one million followers. She has since reportedly lost tens of thousands of followers across her social media accounts.<\/p>\n
There are only a select few who have been in Alex\u2019s shoes, who have walked the dark path she\u2019s journeyed, and Nizza is one of them.<\/p>\n
Asked what advice she\u2019d give Alex, Nizza told CBN News she\u2019d be \u201chappy to talk to\u201d Alex anytime and urged the social media star to join \u2014\u00a0or continue attending \u2014\u00a0\u201ca solid, biblically based church\u201d where she can be \u201cdiscipled\u201d in her faith.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou need your pastors,\u201d said Nizza. \u201cYou need your brethren to support you, encourage you. Of course, God first. Reading your Bible daily, praying daily, because that is actually how we are protected in the spiritual battle.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nizza went on to urge Alex to be prepared for spiritual warfare and attacks online \u2014 a trend that has already begun to surface for the newly public believer.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven though the enemy will come at you, the enemy comes at Christians as a whole, the church as a whole, you have the victory in Christ,\u201d Nizza encouraged. \u201c[N]ever look back, because what you\u2019ve put behind yourself could never have measured up to Jesus. Nothing is better than Jesus and always reach out when you need support and help.\u201d<\/p>\n
As a Christian who now has access to all the promises of Scripture, Nizza reminded Alex she is \u201carmed\u201d and has \u201cthe sword of the Spirit and the victory in Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cPraise the Lord for what she\u2019s doing,\u201d Nizza added of Alex\u2019s public profession of faith. \u201cThank you, God.\u201d<\/p>\n
