\u201cThroughout my life, I have seen the faithfulness of God guiding my steps, even in seasons when I did not fully understand where he was leading me,\u201d Sacha De Souza says. \u201cLooking back, I can see how he placed people along my path to lead me closer to him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sacha\u2019s journey took shape when she was training to become a teacher. One of her classmates was a member of St. John\u2019s and teacher at the school and would often invite her to St. John\u2019s to study with her.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach time I went, I felt welcomed,\u201d Sacha recalls. \u201cIt was peaceful and filled with a strong sense of community, and what began as a place to work soon became a place where I felt I belonged.\u201d<\/p>\n
Those visits gradually led to something more. Sacha began attending worship and learning about the teachings of the Lutheran church. She enrolled in New Member Foundation classes, became part of the congregation, and today serves as Grade 3 teacher at St. John\u2019s. God knew all along what lay ahead and planned for it\u2014Sacha\u2019s need for a Christian community and the school\u2019s need for a Lutheran teacher.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow my greatest desire is to live faithfully for him, serving him in my spiritual walk, in his church, and in the classroom where he has called me to teach,\u201d shares Sacha.<\/p>\n
