The hospital has not announced an opening date, but it has agreed to provide these services at no cost for five years to eligible patients and to create a dedicated webpage outlining the available care.

Attorneys representing detransitioners have welcomed the agreement, arguing that many patients require lifelong medical and psychological care after undergoing irreversible procedures at a young age. Chloe Cole, one of the nation’s best-known detransitioners, said the new clinic addresses a longstanding gap in healthcare, while attorney Mark Trammell called it a recognition that detransitioners “are real” and deserve specialized care.

Texas is not alone in pursuing this approach. A similar settlement with the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio requires the hospital to provide restorative care for detransitioners, prohibits gender-transition procedures for minors for the next 20 years, and establishes financial assistance for patients seeking restorative treatment. These agreements are part of a broader Justice Department investigation into pediatric hospitals’ billing practices and compliance with federal and state law.

The opening of the nation’s first detransition clinic marks a significant shift in the national conversation surrounding pediatric gender medicine. As more individuals share stories of regret and seek restorative care, let’s pray for truth, compassion, and healing for those affected, as well as wisdom for medical professionals and policymakers entrusted with protecting children.

Share your prayers and scriptures for those seeking healing and restoration in the comments below.

(Excerpt from The Epoch Times.
