{"id":31685,"date":"2026-08-25T07:45:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T07:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=31685"},"modified":"2026-08-25T07:45:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T07:45:22","slug":"august-25th-chronological-bible-readings-chronological-bible-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=31685","title":{"rendered":"August 25th Chronological Bible Readings \u2013 Chronological Bible Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Ezekiel 26:15-28:26; 2 Kings 25:3-7; Jeremiah 52:6-11; Jeremiah 39:2-10<\/strong><\/span><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">~ Click here to read today\u2019s Scripture on Bible Gateway ~<\/span><\/em><br \/><span style=\"color: black\"><em>~ Listen to today\u2019s Scripture with <\/em><em>The ESV Bible<\/em><\/span> ~<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Ezekiel Chapter 27 indicates that Tyre was certainly good at business and trading!\u00a0 \u00a0This was in large part due to Tyre\u2019s prime real estate location, which you can see in the two maps below:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">However chapter 28 tells us that there was also a lot of pride associated with these business skills &amp; wealth.\u00a0 Verse 5 tells us: <em>\u201cYes, your wisdom has made you very rich, and your riches have made you very proud.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 This verse definitely stands out to me.\u00a0 How often in our lives does something in our lives make us proud?\u00a0 Verse 2 in this chapter says this: <em>\u201cIn your great pride you claim, `I am a god!\u201d <\/em>If we get prideful enough, might we even consider ourselves a god??\u00a0 Do you hear others in our culture today telling us that we are gods?\u00a0 Good idea or bad idea here\u2026.?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Verse 11-19 in this chapter are very interesting.\u00a0 It is tough to discern if these verses about the king of Tyre or Satan or both?\u00a0 Commentators hedge on these verses.\u00a0 Perhaps, indeed, when we let pride get the best of us and think we are a god then we risk interweaving our life story with Satan\u2019s?\u00a0 I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Scary stuff to think about though \u2013 jump down to the Psalm 111 verses for a good antidote to all this pride stuff\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Worship Video:<\/strong>\u00a0 Today\u2019s readings reminded me of Steven Curtis Chapman\u2019s song, \u201cLove Take Me Over:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><strong>Has Love taken you over?<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span><span>Click here and be taken over!<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Comments from You:<\/strong>\u00a0 What verses or insights stand out to you in today\u2019s readings?\u00a0 Please post up by clicking on the \u201cComments\u201d link below!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">God bless,<br \/>Mike<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">p.s.
