Vos titled \u201cRebuilding the Walls of Jerusalem\u201d:<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">It is great to see Nehemiah\u2019s strong character in today\u2019s readings!\u00a0 As governor, he could have taken full advantage of collecting food allotments from the people.\u00a0 But he didn\u2019t, as he knew these allotments would have been a burden on them.\u00a0 Then, Nehemiah sticks to leading the people in the goal of rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem \u2013 which was an incredible feat that was pulled off in less than 2 months through God\u2019s grace.\u00a0 And this is a wall that was down for 150 years! Is there anything you can apply to your life through today\u2019s readings about Nehemiah?\u00a0 Are there areas of your life where perhaps you are taking advantage of a situation you shouldn\u2019t?\u00a0 Is there a goal in your life that you\u2019re not moving on that you should?\u00a0 Will you pray to God like Nehemiah did in 6:9 \u2013 <em>\u201cBut I prayed, \u201cNow strengthen my hands.\u201d\u201d<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Below is an image of Nehemiah in chapter 6 verses 4 through 7:<em> \u201cFour times they sent the same message, and each time I gave the same reply. The fifth time, Sanballat\u2019s servant came with an open letter in his hand, and this is what it said: \u201cGeshem tells me that everywhere he goes he hears that you and the Jews are planning to rebel and that is why you are building the wall. According to his reports, you plan to be their king. He also reports that you have appointed prophets to prophesy about you in Jerusalem, saying, `Look!
