President Trump chose several noteworthy Christian leaders this week for religious freedom roles in his government.<\/p>\n
He nominated Cissie Graham Lynch to serve as the U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom. Lynch is the daughter of evangelist Franklin Graham and the granddaughter of Billy Graham.<\/p>\n
The position is responsible for advancing religious freedom around the world and serving as a key adviser to the president and secretary of state on issues involving religious liberty.<\/p>\n

The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) welcomed the President’s decision.<\/p>\n
