Luke:<\/strong> Wow.\u00a0 I love Jesus\u2019 teaching in Luke chapter 17 verses 20 & 21 \u2013 \u201cJesus replied, \u201cThe Kingdom of God isn\u2019t ushered in with visible signs. You won\u2019t be able to say, `Here it is!\u2019 or `It\u2019s over there!\u2019 For the Kingdom of God is among you.\u201d\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 And truly, of course, literally the Kingdom of God was amongst those Jesus was speaking to with this verse \u2013 Jesus himself was there.\u00a0 But, also the Kingdom of God is still amongst us today.\u00a0 Jesus has risen from the dead.\u00a0 He lives in the hearts of men and women.\u00a0 We do not need to look for visible signs to which we can say \u2013 here it is!\u00a0 Truly, the Kingdom of God can be within you.\u00a0 And once the Kingdom of God is within you it is amazing to see how Jesus can transform your life and those around you through his peace, grace and power.\u00a0 \u00a0Is the Kingdom of God among you?<\/span><\/p>\n

The story of the persistent widow is fantastic!\u00a0 I love it\u2026\u00a0 \u00a0Verse 4 may be one of the most humorous verses in the Bible \u2013 \u201cThe judge ignored her for a while, but eventually she wore him out. `I fear neither God nor man,\u2019 he said to himself, `but this woman is driving me crazy. I\u2019m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!\u2019\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Great stuff! Jesus teaches that persistence pays off, which I think is very good to consider with our own faith journeys.\u00a0 Verse 1 is the moral of the story: \u201cOne day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must never give up.\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>Do you pray constantly?\u00a0 Do you know that you must never give up?<\/span><\/p>\n
