Immortal God, holy Lord,
\nFather and Protector of all You have created,
\nwe raise our hearts to You today for those
\nwho have passed out of this mortal life.<\/p>\n
In Your loving mercy, Father of all,
\nbe pleased to receive them in Your heavenly company,
\nand forgive the failings and faults
\nthey may have done from human frailty.<\/p>\n
Your only Son, Christ, our Saviour,
\nsuffered so cruelly that
\nHe might deliver them from the second death.
\nBy his merits may they share in the glory
\nof His victory over sin and death.<\/p>\n
For all the faithful who have died we pray,
\nbut in particular for those dear to us,
\nparents, relatives and friends.
\nnor do we forget all who did good to us while on earth,
\nwho helped us by their prayers, sacrifice and example.
\nWe pray also for any who may have done us harm,
\nand stand in special need of Your forgiveness.<\/p>\n
May the merits and prayers of our Virgin Mother,
\nMary, and those of all the Angels and Saints,
\nspeak for us and assist them now.
\nThis we ask in Christ’s name.<\/p>\n
