{"id":8861,"date":"2025-11-02T07:20:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T07:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=8861"},"modified":"2025-11-02T07:20:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T07:20:11","slug":"october-31st-chronological-bible-readings-chronological-bible-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=8861","title":{"rendered":"October 31st Chronological Bible Readings \u2013 Chronological Bible Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>John 15:18-17:26<\/strong><\/span><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">~ Click here to read today\u2019s Scripture on Bible Gateway ~<\/span><\/em><br \/><span style=\"color: black\"><em>~ Listen to today\u2019s Scripture with <\/em><em>The ESV Bible<\/em><\/span> ~<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>John:<\/strong> John chapter 16 is amazing today!\u00a0 I love verse 8\u2019s teaching from Jesus about the Holy Spirit: <em>\u201cAnd when he comes, he will convince the world of its sin, and of God\u2019s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0One commentary on this verse and verse 9 today says:\u00a0 \u201cApart from the Spirit\u2019s convicting work, people can never see themselves as sinners.\u201d\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 This is powerful to reflect upon.\u00a0 Did you ever have a time in your life that you did not see yourself as a sinner?\u00a0 Was this time before you experienced the Holy Spirit?\u00a0 Do you believe this to be true \u2013 that many in our world today cannot see themselves as sinners, apart from the work of the Holy Spirit and Jesus?\u00a0 This I think should demonstrate to us who is truly doing conversion work in our world \u2013 not us, but Jesus and the Spirit.\u00a0 We cannot convert anyone on our own human power.\u00a0 The Holy Spirit must enter the room\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bible.org\u2019s commentary on our John readings today titled <strong>\u201cThe Ministry of the Holy Spirit\u201d<\/strong> is <\/span><span>at this link<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>John 17 is such an amazing chapter\u2026 this is Jesus praying!\u00a0 So powerful.\u00a0 I honestly am at a loss for words on this chapter.\u00a0 I could probably try to write something about each and every verse.\u00a0 But, maybe what makes the most sense is for you to re-read this chapter again.\u00a0 Do you see Jesus praying for you in this chapter?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bible.org\u2019s commentary on today\u2019s John readings are extensive!\u00a0 They\u2019ve divided this chapter up into 3 commentaries, which shows the depth of what\u2019s going on in this chapter.\u00a0 I recommend you take a few minutes to check out each of these commentaries.\u00a0 The first commentary titled <strong>\u201cThe High Priestly Prayer of Jesus: Part I\u201d<\/strong> is <\/span><span>at this link<\/span><span>, <strong>\u201cPart II\u201d<\/strong> is <\/span><span>at this link<\/span><span>, and <strong>\u201cPart III\u201d<\/strong> is <\/span><span>at this link<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Worship Video: <\/strong>Today\u2019s readings in John about the ministry of the Holy Spirit reminded me of Abandon\u2019s song \u201cFeel it in your Heart:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=R5bp-Tl_wg0<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Do you feel the Spirit in your heart?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span>Click here and receive the Spirit!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Please join us in memorizing and meditating on a verse of Scripture today:<\/strong> <em>\u201cI have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
