It read: \u201cThis is Jesus, the King of the Jews.\u201d Two criminals were crucified with him, their crosses on either side of his\u2026.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><br \/><span>Today in Matthew chapter 27 verse 54 we read, just after Jesus\u2019 death on the cross:<em> \u201cThe Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, \u201cTruly, this was the Son of God!\u201d<\/em> Reflect on these words of the Roman officers and soldiers for a moment. Do you believe these words of the soldiers are true? If these words are true, what does this mean for our lives today? Are we really living our lives in such a way that reflects that these words are true? Or, is it possible, that sometimes we just say these words of the Roman soldiers, and then just go about our lives as business as usual? If Jesus truly is the Son of God, how then should we be living our lives this very day?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><br \/><span>Verse 51 is significant \u2013<em> \u201c50Then Jesus shouted out again, and he gave up his spirit. 51At that moment the curtain in the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.\u201d <\/em>The curtain separating the Most Holy Place was torn in two at Jesus\u2019 death, symbolizing that the barrier between God and humanity was removed.\u00a0 Now all people are free to approach God because of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice for our sins.\u00a0 Hebrews chapter 10 verses 19 &amp; 20 puts it this way:<em> \u201cAnd so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven\u2019s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. This is the new, life-giving way that Christ has opened up for us through the sacred curtain, by means of his death for us.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><br \/><span><strong>Worship Video:<\/strong>\u00a0 Reading about Jesus\u2019 crucifixion today reminds me of the song \u201cAbove All\u201d and the lyrics: \u201cCrucified. Laid behind the stone. You lived to die. Rejected and alone. Like a rose trampled on the ground. You took the fall.  And thought of me.  Above all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PtS7UuNI2Vk<br \/><strong><span>Do you worship Jesus Above All?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span>Click here and worship Him!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Please join us in memorizing and meditating on a verse of Scripture today:<\/strong> \u201c<em>When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, \u201cSurely he was the Son of God!\u201d <\/em>Matthew 27:54 NIV<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Prayer Point:<\/strong> Pray that you would daily meditate on what Jesus did for you on the Cross.
