Ron DeSantis and prohibits individuals \u201cdomiciled\u201d in China who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents from purchasing property in Florida. In a 2-1 decision, the Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals\u00a0rejected\u00a0claims that the law violated federal law or discriminated against Asians.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday we won big at the US Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, defending our law preventing ownership of Florida land by the Chinese Communist Party,\u201d Republican Attorney General James Uthemier wrote on\u00a0X\u00a0following the decision.\n<\/p>\n<p>The law allows non-tourist visa holders and asylum recipients to purchase one residential property of up to two acres, provided it is located at least five miles from any military installation.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs, four Chinese citizens, argued that the law was discriminatory against Asians. In a statement, Judge Robert Luck rejected this claim, writing for the court that the law was motivated by \u201cnational, individual, land, and food security concerns,\u201d and that it did not \u201cshow any animus toward Asian people.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>For years now, Chinese nationals have been buying up American land, specifically land near military bases. IFA has covered this threat numerous times, and the Daily Caller notes that several other states have taken action to protect their land from China as well. The Department of Agriculture even announced in July that it would seek to block Chinese nationals from buying American farmland as well.\n<\/p>\n<p>Now that Florida can enforce its law and protect its land, let\u2019s pray for more states to follow this example!\n<\/p>\n<h4>Share your prayers and praises below.<\/h4>\n<p>(Excerpt from the Daily Caller.
