When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God begins His work in us. We are made alive in Christ — born again, made new.
Then, through an ongoing, lifelong process called sanctification, God finishes, perfects, and completes His work in us. This was the process the Apostle Paul referred to when he said, “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” – Philippians 1 verse 6.
