"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." James 1:8 (KJV)

There comes a moment when the line has to be drawn. No more one foot in the world and one foot in the Church. No more flirting with sin and then running back to God for a quick moment of relief. Scripture is clear: “No man can serve two masters” (Matthew 6:24). You will love one and despise the other. You cannot fully belong to both.

We are living in serious days. The call of God is not casual—it is urgent. “It is high time to awake out of sleep” (Romans 13:11). There has never been a more critical hour to be real with God than right now. Lukewarm faith will not sustain your family. Half-hearted devotion will not protect your marriage. Playing on the edges of grace while drifting further from consecration is dangerous ground.

The Word warns us, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5). If your heart were opened, what would it reveal? Hidden compromise? Private bitterness? Secret habits? Proverbs gives a sobering instruction: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). Everything flows from the condition of your heart—your marriage, your parenting, your integrity, and your witness.

Parents, this is an hour to pull your family close. The world is preaching identity, beauty, and worth through distorted images and empty standards. But God says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). Our children must hear that truth from us. They must see faith modeled in us. “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15) cannot just be a framed verse on the wall—it must be a lived conviction.

What good is shouting in church if there is no prayer in the home? What good is religious activity if there is no fire on the family altar? Paul urged believers to be “fervent in spirit; serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11). We need the fire of God burning again—not emotional hype, but holy passion. A brokenness before God so real that our families see the difference.

This is the hour to simplify. Lay aside distractions. “Lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us” (Hebrews 12:1). Decide that what matters most is that your family is ready when Jesus comes. That your children know how to pray. That your marriage reflects Christ. That your heart is pure before Him.

This is not a season for drifting. It is the season for consecration. “Choose you this day whom ye will serve” (Joshua 24:15). Stand fully with God and pull your family in close.

You can retake your family. You can restore what the enemy has tried to steal. If you draw near to God, “He will draw nigh to you” (James 4:8). It is not too late.

Prayer: Lord, I refuse to live divided. Search my heart and reveal anything that pulls me away from You. Set my life on fire with holy passion. Help me lead my family in truth, purity, and devotion. Let my home be ready for Your coming. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
