Ancient Babylon was a corrupt kingdom when God declared its demise was imminent. The prophet Daniel declared, “God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end” (Dan. 5:26). Millions of freedom-loving people worldwide are praying and believing this has application to Cuba today. In the midst of what’s rapidly taking place with Venezuela and Iran, is Cuba next in the rapidly unfolding story?

On April 10, the documentary “Revolution’s Daughter” premiered in Miami. The controversial film featured Fidel Castro‘s daughter, who declares regime change is overdue! Alina Fernandez’s father was Fidel Castro, and in 1993, she fled for her life from Havana to the United States of America. She is a courageous and outspoken critic, sharing how his rule was “oppressive,” bringing decades of “total madness and misery” – no elections, little food, no public transportation. Cubans were lied to, suffering horribly today, as she echoes the passionate cry for liberty, with Trump.
Our president has declared, “After Venezuela, Cuba is a failing country, and they’re going to be next! We will be there to help.” Now that oil shipments from Venezuela have stopped, Cuba is in its worst economic crisis! Protests have started amidst blackouts; there are severe food shortages and only limited medical access. Forget about fishing off the island – it is prohibited as totalitarian rulers try to block citizens wanting to escape. Yet somehow, 125,000 people were able to miraculously flee!
Turning Point
When Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, it seemed too good to be true for 3.5 million Black Americans. Presently, 11 million Cubans are sensing freedom from the iron fist of communism after 66 years! Our “disruptor” president, Donald Trump, is working strategically to help make it happen in our day. “What a day of rejoicing it will be when communism in Cuba crumbles!” As the late Christian revivalist, Leonard Ravenhill, declared, “The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.”
Secretary of State and Cuban-American Marco Rubio is the Administration’s” point person” and declares, “The people in charge don’t know how to fix it, so they have to get new people in charge.” Cubans are grappling with constant power outages and the escalating humanitarian crisis. For over 60 years, the system has been progressively breaking down. Sewage is mixed with drinking water; there is little or no cooking fuel; and no lights on in the streets, as protests similar to what happened in Iran are occurring. “They’re a failed nation and have no oil, no money, and we’re negotiating with them,” President Trump said recently. Grinding poverty, hunger, and the corruption of Communism have taken their toll. May this be the end of a failed tyrannical system!
Helpful History
Pro-communist and socialist leftists are manipulating the masses in America. Radicals in Cuba and America present “history” that doesn’t reflect reality but romanticizes “heroes“ like the Castros and Che Guevara (murderers and criminals) while working aggressively to dismantle the very foundations of our country. They use “Critical Race Theory” propaganda in schools and media, and the 1619 Project, whose creator praised Cuba as “the most equal country in the western hemisphere – a model for the US.”
In 1959, Fidel Castro assured the world that he was not a communist. As he took office, he said he was a “Marxist” leading the Cuban people on a path to peace and prosperity! He called himself a “freedom fighter, “yet he eventually curtailed any ownership of private property and private enterprise. He told the people, “Universities are tuition-free” (but only to those embracing his revolutionary beliefs). He took control of the media and pioneered “cancel culture” way before progressives did it here! People trying to flee Cuba were tortured. Castro killed over 3500 people by firing squad. In 1994, he ordered a tugboat carrying women and children sunk while they were fleeing the repressive socialist state.
Headlines of days gone by declared, “All Roads Lead to Havana!” Castro called Cuba a “people’s paradise.” Then his regime took control of elections with its one-party state, and what was once a beautiful vacation destination (remember Ricky and Lucy Riccardo?) became a prison where people lost liberty, human rights, and freedom of religion. Castro demolished scores of church buildings and mandated that children be indoctrinated in atheism. Their form of Critical Race Theory propagandized the people into believing Cuba’s old order needed a “fundamental transformation” to the new order of caring for needs from cradle to grave! “Free healthcare! Free education! Government giveaways!” Recognize the progressive strategy?
Here’s the deal:
Communism never delivers as advertised and has devastated lives and countries throughout history. The average wage in Cuba is about $20 per month, with people living in deteriorating shacks similar to San Francisco’s homeless havens. Its harbor is almost empty of boats, and the few people who own cars have 1950 or earlier models!
After nearly 7 decades of communist tyranny, we must pray to awaken people to the atheistic communist deception that has destroyed citizens and countries throughout history. Let’s do our part to declare liberty throughout the land!
