Texas officials are taking action against what they describe as a major abuse of America’s immigration system, as a lawsuit targets an alleged “birth tourism” operation facilitating citizenship for foreign nationals. The case is raising renewed questions about birthright citizenship and national security.
Have you taken your place on the wall?
From the Daily Wire:
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a lawsuit Wednesday against the De’Ai Postpartum Care Center in Houston, accusing them of “exploiting birthright citizenship by unlawfully facilitating the invasion of Chinese nationals … for the sole purpose of giving birth.”
“America is for Americans, not foreigners trying to cheat the system to claim citizenship,” Paxton said Wednesday, alleging that the center “facilitated an invasion of Texas” while “shielding and facilitating violations of immigration law.”
“Birthright citizenship is a scam that threatens national security, and I will do everything in my power to stop unlawful ‘birth tourism’ schemes like this one,” Paxton added.
The lawsuit claims that this center has been operating for years, hosting families and coordinating births in order to secure U.S. citizenship for children born on American soil. According to reports, the operation even marketed its services online, advising expectant mothers on how to navigate visa requirements and avoid scrutiny from federal authorities.
This case also comes amid a broader national debate over birthright citizenship. Efforts to end or restrict the policy have gained traction, with legal challenges now before the Supreme Court and lawmakers proposing constitutional amendments. Supporters argue the current system is being exploited, while others maintain it reflects longstanding interpretations of the 14th Amendment.
For intercessors, this issue touches on the integrity of our nation’s laws and the stewardship of our borders. Scripture calls leaders to uphold justice while protecting what has been entrusted to them. When systems are exploited, it is a call to pray for wisdom, discernment, and righteous governance.
As this case unfolds, let’s lift up our leaders and our legal system. Pray that truth would be revealed, justice would be upheld, and policies would reflect both righteousness and wisdom.
Pray for secure borders and righteous laws—and share this article to mobilize others to intercede for our nation!
