Filling the Void
The emptiness Beni felt inside at 19 was almost more than he could handle.
“I could not pinpoint exactly where the void was,” he shares, “or how to fill it in a meaningful way.” Nothing in his life—school, money, food, sports—could satisfy him for long, and he considered suicide often.
By his early thirties, it seemed Beni had everything he needed to make him happy—a beautiful wife, two precious sons, a good job—yet that same void followed him, unfulfilled by anything this world offered him.
But thanks to your loving gifts, that all changed for Beni through an Amazing Facts resource you helped provide!
A New Perspective
One day, Beni’s wife shared with him a sermon on TV called “Why So Many Denominations?”
“It may have been the first sermon I ever watched,” Beni says. Yet, he found it interesting only from a secular perspective.
A few months later, his wife saw an advertisement for an Amazing Facts prophecy series. Despite misgivings about religious things, Beni watched it with her.
“I was blown away by what Pastor Doug shared,” he shares. “I wondered how the Bible could record events before they came to pass.” He had viewed the Bible as a book of fables, but this newfound information challenged his beliefs.
Words of Life
After purchasing a Bible from Amazing Facts, Beni offered a heartfelt petition to God: “If You’re real, reveal Yourself in a clear way, and I will give myself to You fully.”
Beni started reading Genesis 1. “For the first time, the Bible’s words were full of life,” he explains, “no longer dead words as I experienced as a child.”
When Beni read about man’s original diet, he felt convicted to adopt a plant-based diet. “After sharing this with my wife,” he relates, “she almost fell off the chair. She said, ‘What are you going to eat? … You’re going to die.’ I told her God would help me, and that’s exactly what He did.”
From that point, God showed the couple truth after truth. Despite opposition from other family members, Beni, his wife, and his brother were baptized into a Sabbath-keeping church.
