For three months, TX Co-State Leader Traci Richardson has been rededicating counties to the Lord. She and her husband, Brett, would be traveling quite a bit because their daughter, Ahna, was moving. They were helping their daughter, driving to the IFA Gatekeepers Conference, and traveling with her best friend, Paulette Kiker, through many states. Since those months involved so much traveling, the Lord gave Traci the idea to rededicate the counties they drove through to the Lord.

From February of 2026 through June, Traci has rededicated 52 counties in Texas, which has 254 counties. “This really was God’s idea,” Traci said. “I took pictures of county signs as we drove through. As we went through the counties, I prayed the National Proclamation that is on the America’s Spiritual Heritage Project (ASHP) site. I substituted each county name in place of the United States of America. After reading the proclamation, I prayed about what I felt God was saying and some Bible verses. This is what the Lord wanted, for us to take our land back, at least in our state of Texas,” Traci said.
The focus on ASHP was about rediscovering your state’s spiritual heritage. Seeing in the past how God had moved, recounting it, and reclaiming the land, reminding God of His promises and the covenant this nation was founded on. “Going through some of these small towns, they still have a lot of Jesus, you know, they’ll have signs, or crosses up, versus in the big city where we see less of that.”
“That’s encouraging, because they haven’t forgotten about God, family, and country. I know it’s different in every county. You drive into another county, and you know that prayer is needed. Intercessors often sense the spiritual atmospheres when they enter a place. You can sense when prayer is needed more in some counties than others. But when I saw “Jesus” entering a town, I saw hope. I saw something encouraging, Traci said.
On the other side, Traci said, she felt heavy-hearted in some counties. “We do have a lot of counties that are poor, and it’s sad when you’re going through those little towns. We’re seeing businesses, you know, shut down, and you can tell it used to be thriving, but it’s not anymore. In Amarillo and the surrounding areas, they have built all those windmills and a huge AI plant. When we were driving through there at night, it was lit up, and you could see it for miles. I was like, what on earth is that? It could be seen from a distance. It’s sad because that used to be cattle and farmland out there. It shows how the rural parts in our state are starting to change.”
Traci mentioned that even in her city, they are developing a SpaceX center called Terafab, and numerous AI Data Centers are in the works, despite the large number of citizens who did not want it there. “Our city used to be called the land of milk and honey because of our dairy farms and bee apiaries. It’s slowly being changed, and the lands are being cleared. Some people don’t know if they’re going to lose their land, their homes. It can be discouraging. But when we do what the Lord is telling us to do, there is always hope. We must never lose our hope in God, despite how it looks. We know who wins.
That’s why I am thankful for this idea, and it definitely was God’s idea; I could have never thought up something like this. Towards the end of this year again, I may travel again, and if I do and go along another route, I will rededicate more counties to the Lord,” Traci said.
Intercessors are not done rededicating. Many state leaders and intercessors are gathering to claim their states and counties for God. ASHP wasn’t intended to be for a moment, but a movement for those who desperately want to see the Lord move in their region once again. With every dedication and proclamation read, there is a cry of “Lord, do it again.” Many will visit specific places. Traci heard what the Lord told her to seize the traveling opportunities to rededicate, and she obeyed. That’s all it takes, obedience. Continue to pray and believe with us that God will visit us and revive us again.
Father, we thank You that there is no limit, no borders, nothing that can stop the power that is present when we call upon Your name in prayer. We thank You for giving intercessors new and exciting ways to continue to rededicate the land to you. Keep giving God ideas to intercessors who are willing and obedient to step out in faith, in Jesus’ name, amen.
