Despite one of the largest air campaigns in modern history, Iran is bouncing back faster than many expected — and the proof is coming from space.
New satellite images obtained by Israeli and Western officials reveal that Iran has been working around the clock to restore what was damaged or destroyed during the U.S. and Israeli bombing campaign. Missile bases, roads, bridges, ports, and weapons factories are all being rebuilt at a remarkable pace.

In western Iran, tunnel entrances that were blown shut by airstrikes were dug back open within weeks. Further north, crews were spotted clearing rubble and reopening collapsed underground bases by early June. A bridge that took three direct hits was reportedly back in service within days.
Near the Caspian Sea, a major shipyard tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard — hit hard in March — is already showing signs of reconstruction. And near Tehran, a factory believed to produce missile components has seen several new structures go up in recent weeks.

Ran Kochav, a former commander of Israel’s air and missile defense forces, said this kind of fast recovery is nothing new for Iran. “They refilled their stockpiles,” he said. “They have very impressive industrialization and reconstruction capabilities.”
Israeli officials pointed out that many strikes only blocked the doors to underground bases — the weapons stored inside were never destroyed. Iran simply has to dig its way back in. “Iran is rebuilding everything,” one official said.
Jim Lamson, a former CIA analyst now at King’s College London, said some high-tech parts — like those made from carbon fiber — could take months or even years to replace. But Iran may have already stashed backup supplies underground, meaning it could still build dozens or even hundreds of new missiles and drones in the short term.
Intelligence officials also believe Iran moved thousands of centrifuges into a mountain bunker before the strikes began, keeping them safe from the bombs.
While the White House has declared the campaign a clear victory, the situation on the ground tells a more complicated story. Iran has continued launching missile and drone attacks against U.S. allies in the region, and this past weekend an Iranian strike killed three American soldiers in Jordan.
Analysts warn that the window to stop Iran from fully rearming may be closing. As one senior analyst put it, for Iran this is simply a matter of will, time, and money — and they appear to have all three.
