The U.S. Secret Service has confirmed it is aware of a video broadcast by Iran’s state media appearing to threaten the life of Barron Trump, marking an escalation in a months-long campaign of Iranian threats against the president and his family since the outset of the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran earlier this year.

“The US Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring told CNN in a statement. “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
The nearly three-minute video begins with an English language graphic reading: “Where to kill Barron Trump?!” and features stylized graphics showing locations where the younger Trump is publicly known to spend time, including Trump Tower in New York.
A federal law enforcement source told CNN that the video is part of a campaign of videos from Iran targeting the Trump family and Trump himself. Some of the videos have included movement details and suggestions for killing members of the president’s family.
The video was broadcast over the weekend by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), a state-run outlet whose director is directly appointed by Iran’s supreme leader, and closes with a narrator suggesting people were “eagerly waiting to receive our $10 million reward.” While Iranian media has previously targeted President Trump and first lady Melania Trump, this marks the first known instance of Barron being publicly singled out. The threats trace back to February, following the assassination of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several family members at the start of the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran.
This is not an isolated incident. President Trump has publicly acknowledged being aware of threats on his life, telling reporters at July’s NATO summit in Turkey, “I’m on whatever list… so far, I guess I’ve been a bit lucky, but maybe that doesn’t last very long. These are evil, sick people.” Following those remarks, Trump secretly departed Turkey using an elaborate security ruse, boarding an alternate military plane while hidden inside a catering truck, after officials learned of a specific threat involving a shoulder-fired missile that made flying on Air Force One too dangerous. During Khamenei’s funeral in July, regime loyalists were photographed holding “Kill Trump” posters and openly offering a bounty for anyone who would avenge his death.
This case matters because it reveals the real and growing danger facing America’s first family, danger extending even to a teenage boy who has done nothing but be born into his father’s role. Behind the political rhetoric lies a genuine, coordinated campaign by a hostile foreign regime to intimidate and potentially harm a child. Scripture calls believers to pray for those in authority and for their protection, that peace and safety might prevail amid evil intent (1 Timothy 2:1-2, Psalm 91:1-2). Pray for the Secret Service and all those tasked with protecting the Trump family, for Barron’s safety and peace of mind as a young man living under this threat, and for God’s hand of protection over our nation’s leaders and their families.
