Now, however, lawmakers are calling on Congress and President Trump to bring this concept beyond Pennsylvania’s borders and establish a National Day of the Bible.
Pennsylvania State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz, a friend of IFA and former webcast guest, recently shared a video of CBN’s coverage of the 2025 event. In the description of her video, she called for action, writing, “As we celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, join me in calling for Congress and the president to declare Sept. 12 as the Day of the Bible.”
Since our nation’s founding, Scripture and the truths found within its pages have played a powerful role in shaping America. Pennsylvania realized this fact, honoring God’s word with a day of celebration. Now, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, its time for our national leaders to follow Pennsylvania’s lead.
A few lawmakers on the national stage, including some friends of IFA, did attempt to pass a resolution establishing a National Day of the Bible last year. However, this resolution eventually fell flat. According to Congress.gov, it never even passed the House. 2026, however, offers a new opportunity.
Since taking office, President Trump has routinely promoted faith and Christianity. He has routinely put out proclamations recognizing the truths of Scripture and honoring the Lord. And now, as September 12 approaches once again, he has the option to carry Pennsylvania’s torch on to the national stage.
Let’s pray for a miracle. Let’s pray with Representative Borowicz that President Trump would honor God’s Word and establish a National Day of the Bible!
