An Amazing Fact: Vanuatu, a remote South Pacific nation comprised of 83 islands, is considered the world’s most disaster-prone country. Due to its unique geography, it experiences frequent tropical cyclones, tsunamis, volcanic activity, and devastating earthquakes
“We want to talk with you,” the caller urged. “I am an imam at the mosque.”
The pastor was startled—and wary. “Why do you want to meet?”
“Three of us imams have been secretly watching Amazing Facts videos. We are convinced about the seventh-day Sabbath.”
That was just one of the incredible stories Karen and I heard during our recent five-week outreach to Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. Everywhere we went, we were amazed at how many lives God has transformed through Amazing Facts’ evangelism programs—made possible by your loving gifts.
Witnessing God’s Hand at Work
Over five intense weeks—13 flights, dozens of speaking engagements, and storms that nearly shut everything down—we witnessed God at work in Australia, Vanuatu, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Is the gospel going to every corner of the earth? Absolutely. I saw it with my own eyes. God’s Spirit is moving powerfully through you and your loving gifts!
I doubted that many in Australia would come out on weekdays for revival meetings. Well, I needed more faith! Friends who love our broadcasts packed large facilities in Wahroonga, Newcastle, and Brisbane. One young man who came to Christ through Amazing Facts programs is now studying to be a pastor.
Despite prejudice and fear of retribution, thousands attended our gospel meetings in Vanuatu. Each session was broadcast on TV and radio and streamed online to over 100 sites across the islands—including high schools and prisons. The devil tried to shut down our presentations with storms and electrical outages. Torrential rain drenched me one evening, and our large LED screen almost blew over. But people kept watching!
What a joy to see nearly 2,000 souls baptized, including five village chiefs and the pastor of a large Sunday-keeping church! It felt like a repeat of Pentecost!
The next Sabbath, we worshiped with believers on a remote Indonesian island. They had no electricity, cars, or televisions, yet they were reading materials you provided. In Bali, I spoke to a crowd of 350 who had been blessed by your giving.
In Malaysia, over 350 Chinese pastors and lay leaders received training from our disciple-making team. They told me that huge numbers of Chinese have watched our Cosmic Conflict and Final Events documentaries, now translated into Mandarin.

Let me finish my story about the imams. They met with the Sabbath-keeping pastor and explained that, after secretly reading the New Testament and watching our programs, they had become convinced to keep the Sabbath as Jesus did. They now stand at a crossroads, needing wisdom, truth, and prayer. Will you intercede for them?
