Questions of Christmas is written for women who delight in wondering about little moments in the Christmas story. It provides opportunity to meditate on the things of God. As Mary wonders how she could possibly become pregnant, we wonder, “How can it be?” that God would actually send his Son to purchase our salvation? We wonder, “What is Jesus’ family ancestry?” This tiny but essential thread of Jesus’ bloodline reminds us that we are now part of his family because of who he is and what he did. Like the shepherds and wisemen, we wonder “Where will we find him?” In a chaotic, noisy world, how can we find our way to the Savior? Praise be to God that he shows us the way to join him in a relationship, full of grace and love—through Jesus.
