From the Midwest to the East Coast, severe storms have overwhelmed cities and towns across the country the last few days.
Heavy rains have flooded multiple regions throughout the U.S. this week, with many areas experiencing back to back storm systems.
In Illinois and Ohio, roadways were submerged by flash flooding, causing first responders to have to rescue stranded drivers.

Throughout the day Thursday, many of those storm systems moved East, bringing flooding from D.C. to New York.
In New York City, some of that flood water drained down into subway stations, pouring from above as commuters tried to catch trains. And on Long Island, a waterspout came ashore damaging a popular beach club.
Meanwhile, in Indiana, residents hit by severe storms last week are still without power.
“We ain’t got no gas, no restaurants, no power. Now we have to throw away everything and night is like Gotham City. You can’t see anything,” said Brittany Bankhead, a resident of Gary, Indiana.
The local power company says full restoration could still take until next Tuesday.
In Hawaii, residents there are bracing for a tropical depression, only weeks after Hurricane Lala battered the state. The system is expected to strengthen as it moves toward the Islands, bringing more than a foot of rain to some areas still cleaning up from Lala.
