Two-time Grammy nominee and Motown Gospel artist Koryn Hawthorne has released the official music video for her new song “His Favorite,” debuting on August 21, 2026.
Hawthorne’s new single highlights the favor of God over her life and career despite nay-sayers, distractions, or hindrances, allowing the singer to walk in His victory.
Jarring freshly made honey, the Louisiana native described the time and intentionality behind the honey-making process and parallels it to the time and intentionality God took in crafting her and her story even when she did not see it.
“You see honey doesn’t rush – it takes the flower, it takes the work, it takes the waiting – and I’ve learned this is how God operates too. Favor doesn’t always look like what you expect. Sometimes it looks like an early morning, a small kitchen, a dream that only He can see,” Hawthorne expressed in a voiceover.
“But that’s the thing about being His – He is never not working on your behalf. In the big moments and quiet ones, in the seen and unseen, His favor was always over my life,” the singer continued. “I am the honey, I am the work, and I was always His favorite.”
While the Christian music artist recognizes all the blessings given or “honey produced” in her life, she is quick to show they are not just for her.
Throughout the video, Hawthorne is seen sharing her honey with others reflecting how the blessings she receives are to be shared to bless others.
“His Favorite” is the first preview of Hawthorne’s Big Gospel EP coming Ocotober 2, 2026. With a fresh Gospel/R&B sound, the song introduces Koryn’s next chapter rooted in faith and purpose.
